Our parents have many similarities to us, but all of us are unique in our own special ways. Our parents protect us from the big world outside too! This is common among so many other living things all over the world as well. In this engaging compilation, watch how animals protect their young in nature, and see if you can spot how parents protect, help, and save their children and how children are similar but distinctly different to their parents in many ways. Enjoy, and don’t forget to learn!

This video satisfies the 1-LS3-1 and 1-LS3-2 requirement(s) for first grade proficiency.

Students who demonstrate understanding can:

1-LS3-1. Make observations to construct an evidence-based account that young plants and animals are like, but not exactly like, their parents.

1-LS1-2. Read texts and use media to determine patterns in behavior of parents and offspring that help offspring survive.
