In this video, disaster dodgers will introduce the students to emergency planning. To keep our family safe, we need to be prepared for disasters, hazards, and emergencies. Some of the disasters to prepare for include tornadoes, hurricane, extreme cold or heat, fire, and earthquakes. First of all, develop a family communication plan to ensure everyone what to do and how to get in touch. Secondly, put together an emergency kit which includes food, medicine, and other essentials. In a nut shell, be informed; make a plan; and be prepared.
