In this video, students will explore some facts about water that are mainly related to its sources and use. Only three-tenth of a percent of freshwater is available for human use. Two-third of this water is used for growing food. The availability and usage of water is disproportionate on our planet. For instance, Americans use 100 gallons of water per day; while millions of world’s poorest utilize less than 5 gallons of water per day. An alarming situation is that, according to an estimate, by 2025, 1.8 billion of the world’s population will reside in areas with water scarcity.
